Choose the application, then separate the material, finished pack and individual components in your brief. Unknown details can remain open for review; the same product can need more than one packaging part.
- Material for converting
- State whether you need rolls, sheets or blanks. Include width or dimensions, paper direction, face or coating references, quantity units and the next converting step. A finished-box size alone does not define a material order.
- Finished packaging
- List the complete products and accessories, their maximum dimensions, orientation and packed weight. Describe handling and delivery conditions. Keep outside dimensions separate from usable internal space and review fit with the complete sample.
- Separate inserts and pads
- Identify what each component must locate, separate or support. Mark contact restrictions, usable box space, removal access and the assembly sequence. An insert opening is not automatically the same as the product dimensions.
A drawing or reference image is a starting point. Material, fit, print and any performance requirements remain project-specific until reviewed.
